Santa Rosa Terrace

The Santa Rosa Terrace project, completed in March 2024, is a perfect example of how a strategic intervention can revitalize a family home. Located in the Santa Rosa Urban Complex, Santa Tecla, this terrace remodeling work focused on extending the living area outdoors, creating a fluid transition between the house and the surrounding nature.

The Challenge: From Garden to Social Oasis

The goal for the Santa Rosa Terrace was to transform a traditional backyard into a multifunctional space for family enjoyment. Our outdoor design proposal integrated three key elements to achieve coherence and functionality:
WPC Deck and Lounge: We installed a high-durability WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) deck, creating a clean, modern platform for outdoor living and social gatherings.
Fire Pit Zone: The heart of the project is a lounge area featuring a bowl-style fire pit, designed to extend the terrace's use into Santa Tecla’s cool evenings while fostering social interaction.
Garden Workshop: We utilized the back of the property to build a small workshop, integrating a hobby space without disrupting the landscape's aesthetic.

Execution and Construction Details

To ensure that Santa Rosa Terrace was not only aesthetic but also long-lasting, Tree Architecture oversaw every technical aspect of the execution:
Finishing Renovation: We intervened in the existing terrace, updating coatings and paint to unify it with the new expansion.
Furniture and Decor: We selected weather-resistant furniture that complements the warmth of the wood and the fire pit.
Outdoor Lighting: We designed a lighting scheme that highlights the vegetation and provides security at night, a key element in any residential landscaping project.
