The Turin Community Center project, completed in November 2025, exemplifies how architecture serves as a catalyst for social development. Concept: Simplicity and Social Functionality
- The challenge for the Turin Community Center was to create a dignified and durable building using optimized resources. Our community space design proposal was built upon three pillars to ensure the neighbors' sense of ownership:
- Spatial Versatility: We designed open-plan layouts that accommodate multiple uses, from community assemblies to cultural events and educational workshops.
- Accessible Materiality: We selected local, low-maintenance, and highly durable materials, ensuring that the building ages with dignity without generating high operating costs for the community.
- Safety and Openness: The architecture promotes natural surveillance by eliminating visual barriers, creating a secure environment for children and seniors alike.
